If I locked them, how long would it take for them to find a key?

LuciaLaLa
Do you think the doors are specially made just for Denny's? Don't you think they probably get their doors from a supplier who makes doors for thousands of other businesses, all exactly alike? It would be foolish to custom make expensive no-lock doors instead of buying doors with locks "off the rack."

All business that are opened 24 hours have locks on their doors. Most business will close in the event of severe weather. Perfect example, I live in Florida and even 7-Eleven will close if it is expected to be too close of a hit. Some restaurants will actually close early for holidays and then reopen really early the next day. The main reason how ever, is because before the business can open, it has to pass county, state and federal guidelines, and a functioning lock on the front door and back, is one of them.

First of all, not all of them are open 24 hours a day. Second of all, during natural disasters (like the hurricanes in the Gulf) they lock their building up.
