It is true until the letter asks you for your banking and personal information!!!!
Then the letter continues on to ask for a little bit of money
from YOU prior to "releasing the funds".
Then you see the words or "we need you to accept funds in your country for them!!!!!! and on and on.
Or if it reads "Western Union".
Run run run !!!!!!
Fraudsters have great stories to deceive you.
Report it. |

Lotteries don't mail letters to people. And why would the Australian Lottery give away US Funds? Did you purchase an Australian Lottery ticket?
If it's too good to be true, it is. |

This a bigger fraud going around. You will be lured to provide your bank account details and also pay them certain amount of money. Once you pay the money, you will see that the money will be taken from your bank account and you will not hear anything from the person who has contacted you. Even your efforts to contact these people will not give you good results because these guys are a farce. You will end up losing a lot of money in these scams. This is a way for the scammers to make money out of you.
Previously, there was a scam that Microsoft has been conducting lottery and will give away certain amount of money.
Do not trust these kinds of mails. If an Australian company is giving you money, they will give in Australian Dollars and not US Dollars |
