It is probably a scam. DON'T give out any bank information. DON'T pay anyone anything to get a "prize". You can contact the people who notified you to investigate further, but BE VERY CAREFUL. People use things like this to cheat people out of their hard-earned money.

"international lotteries" are a very common form of fraud. If you did not enter a lottery, you did not win a lottery.
If you got the announcement that you won by email - it is definitely a fraud .
NO LEGITIMATE LOTTERY WILL ASK FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD OR BANKING INFORMATION!

If you give your account and personal info, somebody else will be cashing in with your money and identity. The only thing you won is a bad credit history and even more poverty.
