You keep your warranty, you can get service for those years, since that is provided by a third party.

I don't think Circuit City as a whole is going out of business just yet. I do know that they are closing down a lot of stores. I just went to my local Circuit City and on the way there, there was a sign up saying "Circuit City going out of business 30% off" blah blah. I would probably call them up and ask or head to your nearest store (they will still be open for now).
Kind of sad and scary that they're going out of business though. I think Best Buy is having a bit of trouble as well. |

Yes, they are liquidating/closing. As far as your warranty, check their website tomorrow (Saturday) or call them. Most likely you'll still have coverage on it, but you'll have to go through the company that underwrites it, not through CC. |

Yes, they are going out of business, they thought they can survive about the chapter 11 bankruptcy, but unfortunately the economics times is making them harder to stay, so as of january 16, 2009, they are official calling it out of business. |

The warranty is administered by another company. Check the paperwork and the booklet. It gives you an 800 number to call. When you laptop has a problem you call and supply info and they send you a packing box. You send laptop, mine went to Texas, and a repaired laptop returned to you in 3 days.
circuit city is not involved in this at all. |

Well, you did your part by buying that warranty. They made a lot more off of you on that than they did on the laptop. But sadly, they are closing and your warranty will probably be useless, unfortunately.
I can't say I am sad to see them go out of business though. Their service was terrible and they aggressively pushed those outrageously over-priced Monster cables, which was just one example of how they couldn't have cared less about their customers. I'm sorry they didn't go under sooner. |

Okay, I just read that they are going out of business and closing all remaining stores. They are having a "going out of business" sale which starts this saturday and will continue until the end of march. |
