wow that is a great thought. You know even though Wal-mart is sexist, pays extremely low wages, does not give health care to most of it's workers, and is generally the devil...they do have the best logistic system in the world. It is computerized and very up to date. They know where everything is. Even at Christmas time they hardly ever run out of anything. It would probably be better than what we have now. I'm all for it. Let's give it a try. If it doesn't work then we can put Kmart or Target in charge for a while. |

I would say yes and no. Their success is attributed to "if we can find a way to build it cheaper, we will do it", along with outsoruceing everything to where labor is cheap.
Is this exploitation or job creation?
What they are doing is good, but how long will it continue? As another person mentioned, since the passing of Sam, they are going down? Is this "short term gain, long term pain"? Only time will tell.
