Answer the questions honestly. If you don't know - tell them. The questions will be about your work experiences. I was told early in my career that even work that is not related is important. So babysitting, mowing yards, working at school even if it was free, working around the house for family. These all show that you just didn't sit around and soak up money from your family. Also questions as to what excites you. Are you looking for a job because of money, experience, a future? Why do you want to work with their bank? Meet people, learn about banking, get experience in a relationship job, etc. Good luck and relax. |

Start by grooming yourself and dressing professionally.
Arrive at least 5 minutes early.
Write up a resume.
Take copies of your diplomas or degrees.
If you are asked to fill up an employment application, do so thoroughly (be prepared).
When you meet the interviewer, stand up straight, smile and shake hands normally (avoid a wimpy grip).
Do not fidget during the interview and briefly answer questions.
When and if the interviewer asks for your input, this is your queue to either sell yourself or address his question directly.
Good luck!
p.s. If you do not get the job, do not take it personally. Just keep on trying. |

Be yourself and answer all questions honestly. The bank is less interested in your experience than in the way you look, behave, and how well you can learn. If they hire you, they will train you.
If you are a student, talk to a school counselor beforehand and get some advice. You may even be able to arrange for a mock interview. It can show whether you fidget, display distracting behavior, or other flaw that you can eliminate if you know about it. A mock interview can be very useful in preparing for the real thing. |

I have had many interviews and have found the best thing is to trust yourself to know how to do the job. That means, even if you don't know the specifics, you're willing to learn and learn fast. That's what an employer want to know.
I'm not going to bore you with the obvious stuff like, grooming, dressing well, be on time, etc. But, i ahve used Monster.com many times to help me brush up my interviewing skills. They have alot of resources for people looking for work, and it's arranged by specific field and job. Check it out, it will help greatly.
