Your phone number comes up when you call, it displays your name and address.
Usually we report it to the telephone company and they decide whether or not to disconnect your telephone and/or report it to the police if it was a really bad call.
You should tell your parents if you used their phone so they won't be blindsided. They will respect your honesty. |

uh... if they're nice, they'll ignore you. they're probably too busy anyway. worse comes to worse, they'll call the police who will call you and tell you off, but you won't get in trouble with the law or anything. This happened to a friend of mine who prank called the operator (dumb idea). |

It really depends on the nature of the prank. If it's merely a hang up or "innocent" joke, it's not serious, but it it's of a sexually explicit nature, you could be in serious trouble, as in a Harassment charge. Better think twice the next time. |
