I put ad in magazine and unhappy with what they did!!?
The magazine changed my ad/ I explained I was not happy with there service.
It was a verbal agreement, I have signed nothing. They did send me an invoice with a higher amount than quoted
They have passed it to debt collectors.
Where do I stand on this? Do I ve to pay them?
Take them to small claims court for resolution. It will depend on the evidence available from both you and the agency. If you did not sign an agreement, then it's going to be difficult, but if you have any documentation at all: emails, letters, even repeated phone calls that they admit you made, then you'll have an easier time.
Your case will be heard, the ad agency will either win or you will--and if they do, then yes, you have to pay them.

Take it to small claims court.

If the ad was published, then you owe the debt.
It is YOUR responsiblity to approve/disaprove any ad BEFORE it gets published.
otherwise, you need to see a lawyer for any other possible recourse. the question then ebcoem, "Are you going to pay a lawyer more than what you gain from fighting the bill?"

Nope you do not have to pay them and you can sue them for false debt collection good luck I hope this helps !

well you will have to pay but the amount you have to pay is in dispute. If you let it go to debt collectors you may incur further charges. Seek advice from Trading Standards or Citizen Advice B..
