It almost certainly is! I get these sort of E mails all of the time. They have got your E mail address from somewhere. If they ask for your bank account details/full name/address/date of birth, etc... to 'release' the funds or pay the money into, they are almost certainly after your personal details for identity theft/fraud purposes. Some of them ask you to pay £ x amount up front for 'bank' or 'legal' fees.
Bear in mind that if it looks too good to be true, it usually is. Please delete it straightaway and don't open any attachments in case it contains a virus. |
