NO. It's a scam, pure and simple 110%. What you should do though is forward the e-mail to abuse@yahoo.fr, since that is the e-mail address where it came from, yahoo should shut them down.

Did you wonder how you won a contest you didn't enter?

it was but not anymore. it said it was supposed to be confidential. now everyone knows your ticket and serial number. I would email them back as soon as possible claiming that you're an FBI informant. maybe they'll give you another shot at winning their lottery.

I got that same email and was wondering the same thing I am for sure now that it is a scam...

Did you enter such a contest? If not, how could you have won? Looks like a scam, but only you know if you even entered the contest.

There has been lots of internet scams like this. You've won a lottery you have never entered, you're an heir to an inheritence to someone you don't know, etc. Basically they are phishing for your personal information and may collect bank info later in order to "wire" you the money. Sometimes they require you to send them some processing fee, sometimes they just steal your info to open credit cards / bank accounts. If I were you, I'll just ditch this email.

It's a TOTAL SCAM!!!!! Just delete it and don't look back!!!

I get stuff like this every day. I just mark them as spam. I don't know what to do to stop it, but I wish I did. My blocked address file is getting full!

It was real but since you provided the info I just went and stole your 2.5 million dollars.... just kidding, or course.

Look, some company you've never heard of from out of the blue sends you an eMail saying you've won 2.5 million dollars for doing absolutely nothing (and the eMail looks an awful like others I've gotten from time to time). Just think about these facts and ask yourself - why would these people just give me 2.5 million dollars. Put another way - Of course its fake. Email them back and they'll say something like you have to send them $20 as a processing fee so they can send you the 2.5 million.

Just use common sense with stuff like this - if it sounds to good to be true it probably is (and if it sounds way, way to good to be true it almost certainly is).
