you cant technically join amway anymore cuz the ftc shut them down... however there are plenty of amway owned compaies out there like quicstar and you can join online... a friend of mine does it..... just remember if the sh1t hits the fan that your name is involved and you go to jail to just like in the last 70's when amway was indicted into the FTC's most wanted corporations |

Do not go for it.
They project lot of dreams and it looks like one would reach heaven in no time and without much effort.
In reality very few people reach some comfortable level after very hard labour. As per my assumption maximum ONE in 50000 (may be more) people can become Diamond.
This is not a business in real sense. This is more of a selling LIE.
The product standard is very good and price is too high. They may prove cost effective by misleading calculations, but that's not true.
Also you will have growth once your network increases. If 100 person starts the network and every one makes 10 dealer every month in 8 months the total number of AMWAY dealer would be 111 crore 11 lakh 11 thousand. Is it practically possible !! |

Amway is what they call a 'pyramid' organization. You have to sell a certain dollar amount of product (and they are good , as I remember) each month. Only like $100.00 or so, after you buy the starter kit. The main factor in making the big bucks is to recruit people to order products from you. Each person, like you, has to sell their $100.00 worth of product and they recruit people who sell/buy through them and it goes on and on until the base of your pyramid is so huge that you turn into a DIAMOND or something. I think this scheme has, at last, reached its saturation point in the USA. I'm sure most dollar amounts have changed since I tried this some thirty+ years ago. Try to Google Amway and see what you get. |

Really, this talk about pyramid schemes is so tired. Pyramid schemes are illegal, because (1) trading in product was not essential to the "success" of the scheme, and (2) no-one could ever make more out of the scheme than the person who set it up. Neither of these is true with Amway. As can be seen at http://www.a2k.com.au, the Amway catalogue is huge, and growing all the time - for those who have joined up, its like a wholesale buying club. The up-to-date term is network marketing. If you want to register, you have to be referred by an IBO, or you can buy product (eg SA8) direct from an IBO without registering. The trick is to find someone in your network who's an IBO. |

Ask this question to these peoples who are doing this business. If you want to learn swim, to whom you will ask, definately the person who is swimmer. The person who don't know how to swim, always says that it's very difficult to swim. This is just an example where you use the logic. Same thing is applicable here also and every stages of life.

Amway is NOT out of business! Amway is NOT a "pyramid scheme" and sure, it was in trouble.....30 years ago. but it's business model was ratified by the Supreme Court!
1A: Pyramid Schemes dont sell products
1B: Amway sells over 4.5 million products and countless servicess WORLDWIDE! (as of 2011)
1C: In Amway, an Independent Business Owner (IBO) is able to make more money than the person "above" them.
2A: 50 thousand people in order to become Diamond is rediculous. Since it is based upon an assumption, it thus is simply rumor, speculation, and just false pretense.
3A: in 1979 the Amway Business Model was ratified as legal.
3B: Pyramid Schemes are illegal
3C: Amway has been advertising on TV since 2009
3D: Amway has been in existence for half a century; pyramid schemes, because of their illegal status, are not allowed to exist so long!
4: What is wrong with signing up customers to buy Amway products from an IBO? dont YOU sign up for a membership to buy groceries from Costco? How about Sam's Club? Direct Buy? There is no difference.
5: There is no other network marketing business better than Amway. Mary Kay is going under. Avon sold out, and can now be found on the shelves of stores. Amway products continue to be the dominant products in their respective markets.
In conclusion: until you've known the success of Amway, you have no right to discredit Amway. |

Wow, some of these comments are so ridiculous. If you want to join Amway go for it! No one said it's easy, it definitely requires work ... but how much is your freedom worth? It depends upon the individual.
If you want to know more about Amway, definitely do NOT use google as credible research. You can choose to listen to Anonymous101on the "Scamway" page who's half way across the world and probably did nothing and expected results within a few weeks ... OR ... you can actually join the business, do the research from the inside, and follow the people that have gotten the results. It's up to you.
If you want join, attend a meeting in your area if you know the details of it, jump online, or find someone in your network that's involved with Amway... and if all that fails, I might be able to introduce you to some of the diamonds in my line of sponsorship, depending on where you are.
Don't lose sight of why you want to build the business and all the best! |

Yeah, I agree with Sandip, what he say is 100% correct. Just one thing from my part. Think you have bought a cricket bat. You are just positioning it. Your beloved father or family members or friend is telling that your position is wrong and should keep the bat like this...when you keep like that...a person who crosses you whom you never met..is telling to you that they are not correct. the bat should be hold like this and positioned like this..THINK WHOM WORDS YOU WILL LISTEN...we all will listen to our beloved ones....am correct....if the person who told you is great cricketer Tendulkar then whom words you will ask...think of it..as like ..hear to the successful persons and not to anyone else away from business |
