Donation? What type of donation? How did you find out about it? Those details are probably key.
Without any other details probably a scam. And if it was a real donation, why would they not just put a 42 cent stamp on an envelope?

Just tell them to deduct the fee from your donation. Right?

Yea because I recieved two money gram orders in the mail overnight and they were for almost 1000 dollars a piece. I took them to my local bank and they said they were counterfeit. I also checked into the bank that they were paid through and they had no record of them. And the return address was bogus as well. Just be aware.

It sounds like it. This isn't fool proof, but try putting a few details of it in the yahoo search engine. If it's a scam you may have some hits.

Either way it doesn't sound right.

There are better ways of sending money than Fedex. There are ways to send money through your bank and there will be no or just a minimal charge

If someone gives you a gift or donation, you shouldn't have to pay for anything. Google the organization's name or person's name that is making a donation to you. Are they telling you why? Random people giving donations to random people for no reason is surely a scam.

Definitely a scam.

Have you been asking for donations? In public? Then this probably won't be the only person who tries to scam you like this. Be prepared.

Don't EVER believe anyone who tells you that you have to pay money or send money somewhere in order to get something you're being given. That's one of the sure signs that they're just out to rip you off.
