Yes. They will attempt to deliver three times before returning the package. You can call the terminal or 1800GOFEDEX and have the package left with no signature service, unless of course, the sender specified signature required.

If it doesn't specifically say that the will there will be another delivery attempt, then you will need to go pick it up at the facility that is noted on the form.

No - you have to take the note card they left and find and go to that facility to pick it up. And - the people at the facility can be rude if it is like the one here. Look them up in your phone book to get the address if it is not on the card and then use a map at a 7-11 to find out where that street is.
