A company must pay for 4 hours if you are told to leave early due to their actions.
If the power failure is not caused by them then they do not owe you anything.
If they make you stay then they must pay you. |

it depends on what the manager decides. if you stayed there you should still get paid. otherwise you could have just gone home. |

if you worked you should get paid. you work at a restaurant are you a waitress??? do you still have any bills floating around saying your still working??? Show it to your boss he'll make the adjustment, but dont make a big deal about it. |

It depends on management. Im a waitress pt and at my restaurant they try to clock us out asap. So just make sure that the time will be adjusted when you get your check, if it's not then make note of it and have it changed on your next check |

If the power was still out, how did the punch clock work?
Anyway, I believe that an employee should be paid for the hours worked, as long as they are productive hours. If your boss kept you standing around doing nothing until 3:30 though, I would say that was his/her decision, & you should be paid for your time. |

if they require you to stay, you get paid, if they clock you out at 1:30,. then you get to go home. |
