They will offer an exchange or give you a giftcard if you don't have the receipt.
If they, for some reason, give you a hassle, I'd suggest returning the item right after Christmas, and state that it was a gift. TONS of people will be returning items, so they will definitely give you a giftcard for the price of the item. Good luck! |

Yes. If they give you a hard time just put up a big fuss. But normally they don't give you a hard time. I even saw a woman once when I was working there, she was wearing the pair of pants she wanted to return! They let her go get another pair, she went to the bathroom, changed and they did the return! |

I know you can exchange it for the same, and, there been times they not have the same and I was able to get something else for the same price or pay the difference.
I see from the others, you can get a Gift Card and I will agree with that. The main thing, they not like give up those Dollars once they get them. |

If it's not opened, they can give you in-store credit, but you won't get money. |

So far at ALL the Walmart's where I brought something back without a receipt, they gave me cash back without any problems.
They know that 80% of people who return something and get cash back, shop directly again for something else, while people with a gift-card mostly spend it at the Walmart gas stations...
But you should have no problem what-so-ever returning without a receipt... |

Standard policy is that for returns without a receipt are granted store credit only, for the lowest price on the product within the last 30 or 90 days. |
