I think Chrysler should take a hint from AMC. |

Are you asking if one of the big 3 went under which one would I want it to be?
The answer is it would not matter what I thought, the likelihood is that if GM went, Chrysler would go next day, and Ford close behind.
They can restructure, they just don't want to. They, and the unions want to maintain the status quo instead of building things that people will buy.
Had owned 2 American vehicles, and 6 German cars. 2 of the German cars are partially built in the USA. I don't hear them, or Toyota, Honda, Nissan, or Hyundai, etc. asking for a bailout form congress.
I have given up on overpriced, cheaply made, inefficient American cars. Went back to German cars. Have had no problems with them. And they don't depreciate 50% when you drive them off the lot. |

~~All three have been poor makers of an expensive commodity to the people of this country.
I would pick Ford, one reason is from personal experience on a defective engine we went to court twice on Ford. The State Attorney General of California was intervening on our part due to state rules we had for protection on the warranty. Ford told us and the Attorney General, they did not have to abide by the California laws because they are a Canadian based corporation.
Then there is the horrible Pinto memory. They purposely chose to hide the the problem when had found the cause of rear end collisions exploding the gas tank, and knowingly let it go out because they saved a few dollars by not fixing the problem. All about profits, ya know!
So I have a personal hate for this company and how they have chosen to do business. If they go out, it is what is due them.~~ |

Should not disappear but merge as One Giant Motor Industry (under one bailout) to supply all the 3 brands under the ownership of the Govt, foreign investors and the old owners of the 3 as a unity force to fight for market in the world as well as in USA, Canada & Mexico, the neighboring countries. |

I agree with debijs.. Ford, but I'd kind of hate to see that happen just out of a sense of nostalgia. As far as car quality goes though, they don't get rave reviews. |

None. If you want to choose the company which is going to disappear, none of them will disappear. Thanks to taxpayer money, they will be bailed out, no matter how crappy they are. |
