If authorised to sign a business letter?
if authorised to sign a business letter on someones' behalf, do you sign in their name and underneath pp with you signature? Or do you sign with your name ?
Normally the letter would be tailed with the name and role of the person on whose behalf you are signing. You sign your own name and write pp next to theirs.

pp - a common usage of per procurationem occurs in business letters, which are often signed on behalf of another person. see this link for how it works http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procuration
for and on behalf of, is usually reserved for the typed sentance before your name, eg...
for and on behalf of xx [the company name ..]

Typed details of name [and/or position] of sender

You can sign their name and underneath it write "with permission by" and sign your name
D B
you sign your name then put
pp with their name next to it.
the pp stand for 'on behalf of' which is why you put theri name after it and yours before.

No, doing so will be an act of fraud. As you'll be claiming that your the person required to sign. The person, normally the boss/ owner will have to.
Hope this is helpfull.

You can do it a couple of ways. One is to sign your own name and then write below it: On behalf of (person's name). Another option is to sign their name and then write:"signed by" with your initials. Either one is acceptable.

You do the letter and put his name down. Over you sign and write pp next to it. Instead of your name down, it is his or hers.
