If the company i work for goes under will i get redundancy?

Firstly it depends how long you have worked for the company... 2 years + and Yes you will be entitled to payment, although this won't be paid by the company but by the government. You will be given a form to make a claim for any holiday payment you are entitled to and also redundancy payment... If the company is able to pay then it's is legally obliged to. If the company is insolvent the government may pay all or make up any difference to the statutory minimum.

No but the government will give you redundancy pay in these circumstances (at least they did years ago when this happened to me) the company i worked for went bust, and i put in a claim with the dss, got a nice cheque some while later, albeit they pay a something like 15p in the Â£1 that you would have got.

Very unlikely. Redundancy applies to those workers who are no longer required by their employer/company and who must go. To ease the situation, the UK.gov came up with the redundancy plan back in the 1960s. If you are made redundant, you should expect to receive a maximum of one months pay for each year of service.

You'll need to check all of this out because I'm not one hundred percent sure about it. I was made redundant in c1991 and got 23 months pay - a package which was most generous and not one which a company is forced to give. It could be a lot less in most cases.
