there are too many ignorant people in this world to organize a proficient boycott. It would work though! |

It would literally take millions of people to do this to make a difference. A more practical approach is not to fill your gas tank. Only put in $5 or $10 in at a time. This way the gas companies do not have your money while the gas just sits in your tank. Let them keep the gas and let your money stay in your pocket until you need the gas. Then the price may come down in order to get you to fill up again. |

They would lower gas prices significantly.
That's why I do not drive anymore. |

The world would have another 30’s style depression |

The other companies would get richer. Boycotting one company would not solve anything. People would still need to buy gas |

We'd either get paid off or stamped out. Oil companies are like the new secret police, they own everything and everybody. Why do you think we pay so much for gas, when all this time we have the technology for alternative fuel sources. |

It depends what the boycott was trying to achieve. Shell was boycotted across Europe when it announced plans to dump a Noth Sea oil rig at the bottom of the Atlantic.
The result of the boycott was that Shell changed its decision and the rig was dismantled ashore in Norway |

Nothing it would still drive up the prices at the gas stations not being boycotted which still would keep prices high. |

Zilch other then piss off the richest people in the world (which is all thats going to do to them), hurt local businesses due to lack of traveling (restruants, gas stations, grocery stores, etc.), hurt your state & federal government due to no taxes coming in. On the full side of the glass; it would be a quiet day |

there was a plan to boycott one company here in england , but it never came off, but im sure they musta felt somthing. the idea was to force down prices by causing a price war . now its almost 1 quid a litre of diesel, so much for comsumer power |

Nothing because ultimately that company will have many other brands and will continue selling under different labes at different pumps |

They would probably lose a lot of money and if you kept boycotting them, the company would soon become bankrupt. But, it is unlikely that a bunch of people would boycott a company since we rely so much on oil. |
