If we list an item on the eBay, withour reserve and the item is ?
bidded by much lower value of the item, the auctioner has to sell it anyway?
If there is no reserve the item could sell for the starting bid price you set. If you didn't set one, it could go for 1p!
starlight
yes, if you wanted a specific amount for it you couldve put a buy it now price, a reserve price or a higher starting bid
WelshLad
If you want protection then put a reserve on it. Otherwise if you don't and goes below what you wanted, and refuse to sell, then the buyer will leave you negative feedback.
Pioneer
Yes. You entered into a legal binding agreement with your bidder.
Just as if your item went for $1000, your buyer is required to pay for that item.
That is why you set the opening bid for what you will be happy with (recommended) or use a reserve (not recommended).
You took a gamble and lost. Why blame your bidder?
Ashleigh :)
Yep, or the winner will probably report you to ebay and give you neg feedback and such!!

Yes, legally and morally. Put a reserve on it.
Duncan Henderson
Yes.
That's what reserve prices are for!

Yes. If you don't put a reserve price on it (minimum is £50) then you have to sell it at whatever the highest bid is. You can however put a starting price of say £30 on it, but you may put off some bidders.
Bertie Wooster
Of course not. What would be the point in setting the reserve if that were the case. The item will not sell unless the reserve has been reached.
I see now you meant without reserve instead of with our reserve.
why thumbs down me? I can't help it if the question is incoherent.
