Work is what we do to earn our way through life. We all want stuff that others have, so we have to pay them for it. That means we work to get money to pay for our lives. Work isn't necessarily terrific, but if you can find work you love, then doing it for 40 years or so will be a pleasure rather than a pain in the butt.
