Is there anyone else absolutely SICK of dealing with these people..They do not UNDERSTAND you. They are only interested in making MONEY, and they are not programmed for any QUESTIONS !! Not only that, they haven't the slightest idea what customer SERVICE means. Is there a website that lists UK only employed ??

I will have great difficulty responding to this question without resorting to profanity, blasphemy, and obscenity.
If you elect me President, I will issue an executive order stating that any American business employing an off-shore call center, or technical help center will immediately have their business licenses permanently revoked. Furthermore any company employing a person incapable of speaking clear, concise and relatively unaccented English to work in a call center or tech support center will be fined an amount equal to their income taxes for the previous three years.
I am absolutely enraged to have someone speaking in an almost indecipherable accent calling me to attempt to sell me something I don't want in the first p0lace. On to of that, they lie through their teeth, if you ask for a supervisor, they hang up. If you ask for details about the company they represent, they hang up.
I'm about ready to get one of the canned airhorns like boaters use and give them an earful!
If this is as big a problem for you Britons as it is for us Americans, I feel for you. Why the hell can't they hire people who can speak the Queen's English?

they are cheap and they save companies money and ISNT THAT WHAT MAKES THE COUNTRY GREAT!?
they are separate companies under contract, they read off scripts, they are trained to hear certain keywords rather than truly understand, they can only deal with the stupidest of customer issues, and they have no power to actually do anything outside maybe a few button-pushing functions.
You need to try calling the local office or find out what the executive support contacts are. Guarantee they don't make the president of the company have to deal with the offshores. |

I totally agree - I was made redundant by LIoyds tsb so they could open an Indian call centre which they later closed (customers weren't happy) but didn't offer us our jobs back.
You try to explain several times what you want and end up getting frustrated and hanging up!
I generally hate call centres with automated services - i want to speak to a person!
You do know they will properly block this question. |

bt broadband is one of the worst and the call usally lasts an hour cause they can't understand me and then to make matters worse you have to pay for the call sickening!!!!! |

eg;'Why the heck is my bill so dear' it totally confuses him/her so they have to get their supervisor who 9 out of 10 can speak good English |

OMG yeah, I had to phone one once and the guy didn't understand what I was saying because of my accent... I ended up spelling everything out to him.... I spent 20 minutes longer on the phone than necessary cuz of that!!! x |

Don't blame the poor sods working their arses off in Indian call centres. Yes, you're right, they probably don't have a clue what they're doing and the fact that they're half a globe away doesn't approve their incentive to deal with you politely and effectively. However, their presence is only possible by our UK companies outsourcing this service in the first place.
Put some pressure on your bank, ISP, phone company, TV company, whatever... and tell them to bring customer service back to British shores. Then you'll end up with English people that will be even more rude because they're talking to someone who probably earns more and is more educated than they are.
It's a lose lose situation. |

The fact theyre indian call centres is bad enough but then they keep talking and talking.. you barely understand them and then they go out and BOMB you!!
it is safer to get rid of them (burn 'em) and for the government to save about £1 than to lose that £1 and try to make us commit suicide .. f-ing immigrants!!! |
