The questions they ask are repetitive. You have 3 interviews in one day one by an hourly supervisor one by salary and one by one of the top mgrs. The first two are about the same but the 2nd one is more in detail.
The better detailed and SPECIFIC ANSWERS you give the better off you are DON'T give general answers.
I've done some interviews so here are some of the Q's ;)
Some questions will be like. Name a time you had to work as a team what was your job in the team and how did it help the team?
Name a time you helped someone what did you do to help them and how did it help?
Name a rule you think is important and why is it important?
Name a rule u disagree with but followed anyways. Why did you follow it anyways?
Some times you have to work fast and get the job right the 1st time. Tell me how you speed up your process and make sure the job is done correctly.
Sometimes you have to show clear concern for someone when you help them. What did you do to help them and how did you show you cared? |

The best answer for a question you're stuck on:
"I'd ask my supervisor, or someone with experience for advice. I'm not afraid to ask for help. Likewise, I'm always willing to share advice in areas where I'm an expert. I'm a team player"
Works every time. |

why would you work at wal-mart? |

I work at Wal-Mart, and I've overheard the personnel team talking about applicants. They're much more concerned if you're clean from drugs and felonies and such. There are some stupid people that've passed the interview just fine. If you're unsure of what to say about a question just pause for a bit, a delayed answer is much better than saying something thoughtless. Don't worry about it, it's no big deal, but good luck! |

Just answer the questions with answers that they want to hear. So, if they ask, What would you do if you witness theft activity? You would say I would find the nearest supervisor and report it. Just tell them what they would want to hear. But, it might not be exactly what you would do. |

it's wal mart, they'll hire anyone, don't worry, and as long as you don't nswer somethign stupid like "yes" to "would you steal from us if we hired you" you should be fine as long as you answer honestly, don't worry about picking the best answer. also, wear a friendly smile and try not to sound timid so they remember you |

Just think of the most logical answer to questions like that, take your time and think of what you are about to say.
In doubt always remember the customer is always right and to strive to please the customer, and when you are not sure about a situation that you will call the manager or someone to help you. |

It's really easy to BS your way through job interviews. Especially at Wal-Mart. Just be confident and make it sound like you are ambitious, like when they ask where you see yourself in 5 years, pretend to think about it for a bit and say some crap like "Well, I'd either like to be in management or perhaps running my own business." Even if it's not true, it shows them that you are goal oriented (and not a screw-off.) Or if you're still in high school say "College."
For the "what would you do in this situation?" questions, give an answer that comes really close to making you look like a tool, but not quite. Like if the question is, "You see an associate clocking in before their shift starts. What do you do?" Say something like "I would speak to the associate about it and watch to make sure they didn't do it again. If I did happen to see them do it again, I would report it to management."
The important thing is to not make it obvious that you're simply telling them what they want to hear. Try to build a comfortable rapport with the interviewer, make some small jokes and stuff when it's appropriate. Really, no matter what you do, as long as you're not a complete retard at your interview, it's pretty hard not to get hired at Wal-Mart.
Good Luck! |

You'll be fine, just be honest. but when they ask you those questions they just want to make sure you're not going to steal from the company. Most of the time the interview will go better then you expected. Good luck and eat somthing before you go. |

i used to hire people at walmart. if u have the intervew 99% get the job. They have a sheet of questions we have to ask there will be 2 in each catagory. we ask one and say u aced it did ok or failed if u failed we ask u the other question. If u fail both we are suposto send u home but most the times we wouldnt want to start he whole thing over. So go dont be a idiot, and what loses most people is the DRUG TEST dont fail it! |

REMAIN CALM! remeber to tell yourself that youll b fine and the best thing to say, depending on the question is I would remain calm and call security, Or i would remain calm, and request help |

For questions such as What if? just think for minute, and let your common sense answer the question. Like burglery, what you do if you were at gun point? Answer: obey what they say.
Most of the questions that they are going to give are common sense questions. |
