Mr E
Is 50,000 shares of stocks a fair offer?
the company is not yet public, nor have they made any sales/profit. it is still in product development phase. they have 6 millions in funding. they are near completion of their product development. i think there are 4 employees, a ceo, and some investors. that's what they have told me so far.
Additional Details
ok, that's all the detail i have, i told you. however, i can one more detail. i am offered a competitive salary and benefits as well for the f/t position. i realize that's not enough information, but that is all that i can provide at this time. thanks.

Feeling Mutual
If the par value of the stock is 1 mil, then 50,000 shares is worth about $50.00.

If the company has $6 million in assets, and 600,000,000 shares of oustanding stock, each share is worth about $0.01, and 50,000 shares is worth $500.00

If the company has spent most of that 6 million in R&D, and has $600,000 left, then 50,000 shares is worth about $0.50.

So they are jerking you around instead of giving you information that will help you make an intelligent decision, ask for more money instead of stock.

A fair offer for what??? How much work have you done to earn this? Is this a signing bonus? Do you have to pay money for this, as in a payroll deduction?

Please be more specific.

jdkilp
A fair offer for what? What would you do in exchange for these 50,000 shares? How many shares in total have they authorized?

You need to have a lot more information.

The Recession
OK, it sounds like at this time the company is worth 0 (zero). So, 50,000 shares of zero is,..... I think you get the point. What ever concrat these 'worthless people are offering you get it and run to your attorney; dont walk. You want to know when they are going public, How much they will be worth when they go public, ...etc. Basically make sure you get your investment guaranteed back to you BEFORE you invest.

capesh?
