Is MLM legal & successful?

It is legal, and can be successful (look at Amway). There are so many MLM failures out there, and its a favored method for any pyramid scheme so it may not seem so, but there is nothing illegal about MLM itself if used to sell actual, useful products.

Yes most MLM is legal, some may even be "successful", but unfortunately most cost a large sum of money to get involved and stay involved in! If you don't make it successful your out alot of money. If your are interested, there is a new company called My Power Mall, it has a little bit of the MLM feel, but its not MLM. Plus it does not cost you a penny EVER. Check out this site if you would like to know more about it.

Legal? Yes

Successful? Only if you make it successful. You must convince people to do what you are doing or to buy what you are selling (depends on which system you are in)

I know several people in the Quixtar.com/Britt World Wide MLM thing and some failed, others are still at it and making decent enough money to keep expanding and staying interested. Persistence and good attitude can pay off.

Fairplay
Unless a particular country has laws that prohibit direct selling, MLM is usually perfectly legal.

Some countries have laws or regulations that may limit what you’re permitted to do in your MLM business.

These laws are usually a well-meaning attempt by authorities to prevent unethical conduct.

Unfortunately, they're really an attempt to control motives and attitudes, which can't be legislated, so they too often end up having the wrong effect on the wrong people.
