I personally know two people who started their modeling career with a portfolio at newfaces.com. they had no experience before, and one got hired from an advertising agency to do full-page magazine ads for l'Oreal - that was her first modeling job and she was in a magazine all across the country. You need to realize that the reason that traditional agencies don't charge a fee to belong to them is because traditional agencies take a commission fee from every job you get. They typically take 15% or more from every single job that you get through their agency. Their commission fee is deducted before they pay you the remaining money. Traditional agencies make their money by keeping part of the earnings from each job that their models or actors get.
Whereas, newfaces.com is not a traditional agency, but an online portfolio service which gives its members international exposure for top castings directly and then the agents offer work to the models directly. Newfaces.com charge no commission fees and take no money from any jobs you may get through your membership at newfaces.com
Because of my friend's positive experience getting work through the site, I have decided to get an online portfolio there too, and am just waiting to get my photos back from the photographer |

This site is totally awesome! I've been on lots of modeling and acting sites and this one got me actual jobs instead of sleazy dating offers. Yes they are! I have a good friend of mine who now became a successful model through newfaces.com. She have a lot of agents who scheduled her weekly, in fact I can't get intact with her due to her hectic schedules. Hope someday we could spend back together and eating pizza together. LOL |
