Is Primearica a respectable company?
I have been contacted numerous times by rep for the company for employment. I was just wondering if they are worth working for. What is your experience?
Primerica is not a pyramid scheme or a scam. Pyramid schemes pay off early investors by stealing from later investors. Primerica is a multi-level marketing company in which people get a cut of commissions from people who they recruit to sell. That's not illegal or immoral, unlike real pyramid schemes.
It has been around for many years and is owned by Citigroup, a major international financial company.
All that being said, there are some things to consider. They've tried to recruit me too and I've even attended two of their recruiting meetings. I was immediately concerned about the low caliber of some of the people they were trying to hire. Many of these people had no knowledge of personal finance, yet they were being recruited to go out and sell financial products with what appeared to be minimal training.
I decided that I didn't want my professional reputation to be adversely affected by this and walked away. You may disagree with me. Lots of people have been successful at this, so try attending a meeting and decide for yourself.

It used to be AL Williams and very few people make money in MLM companies like that and on top of everything - YOU'RE SELLING LIFE INSURANCE - no one will want to talk to you
Feeling Mutual
I find they bend the truth a bit too much for my tastes.
Mr. Prefect
Primerica is a pyramid builder. They care more for bringing in new people, than for actually selling insurance. If I bring you in, and you sell something, I get a piece of the action. If you bring in Mary, we both profit. If Mary brings in John, all 3 of us profit from John, and so on and so on.
Thus, the perrenial question of who built the pyramids? Primerica of course!
