Seven months ago they screwed up my move order so badly, the supervisors gave up and had to delete the order, wait several days, then enter a new order. They were a month late getting my DSL working.
Now they've screwed up my son's order. First, they put a hold on his online order for DSL. They insisted it wasn't available at his new address, but FIOS was. Great! he thought, so he ordered that. Today, (installation day) the prep work is not done, and after two hours on the phone, they realize that lo and behold, FIOS is not available there, he needs DSL! They also screwed up the work order for DirecTV installation, so now he'll be without a phone, without Internet access, and without TV for two weeks.
Any good ideas on how to publicly shame them? |

i would have to disagree with you and say Cingular is the most screwed up phone company. and i vote for Charter communuications as the most screwed up internet service provider.
Cingular is renowned for the 'holes' in their service area. in my bedroom i can connect to a cingular tower. if i step on my front porch, i'm roaming. and no, my house ISN'T that big.
Charter's only thing that they do well is bill me. as far as providing a fast internet connection, they suck. the other nite i was downloading an mp3 file at a blazing 2kb/sec! give me a break. |

Here's some useful ammo:
Verizon isn't afraid of angry customers or normal people like you. However, all phone companies fear the PUC- Public Utility Commission. Make a complaint with them, and VZ could be fined. That hits them where it hurts.
You can optionally write them and tell them you're lodging a complaint with the PUC, but this will only get you a coupon at best.
As for the orignal question, well, Verizon owns what used to be Worldcom, the most corrupt company, in dollars, of all time, so perhaps Verizon can easily be the worst telephone company of all time. |

Wow! The people who I have dealt with at vorizon sure don't seem to care if you are satisfied at all and they act like you are a real pain in their **** just because you have been given a problem by vorizon. I am this close to switching! |

I would call them back tell them if they dont fix it tell them you will change to someone else and report them to the business bureau. I have att high speed internet and phone service and i have never had a problem with them now their adding directv to there service along with cell phone service Cingular. All on one bill.

Secretly, they don't care about their customer service image. If they did, they would hire people who can spell, add, use correct language, and do what the say they will do. Now, that is not to say that the person you speak to on the phone is at fault...the ball can be dropped oh so many places.
As for the shame....you can't put anything on Verizon that will shame them...too big....sigh. |
