No. It exploits workers overseas. It exploits its own workers. It drives small stores out of business because they can't compete with the "warehouse" style of purchasing. The huge buildings and parking lots are blights on the scenery. They don't contribute to the communities they do business in. They sell crap and they have terrible customer service. |

It must be because people go there all the time. And yes i know they sell shitty products but that is not the point. |

It provides numerous jobs for unskilled labours in America and provides Americans with products for cheaper prices, but then cuts jobs from the skilled labours and many factory workers. So its a win/lose relationship, its hurting Americans, but then also helping us. |

when they started building their stores , they went to small towns and put a lot of small family businesses out of work , on the other hand they have good prices and decent selections |

I don't shop there but I think it is. The people save money therefore they have money to spend elsewhere. They have done more for lower income people than the Liberals ever have. |

While providing low cost-stuff, it exploits American people by paying vary low wages, and exporting most jobs overseas. Wal-Mart is not the devil, it is a cancer to world welfare. |

no wal-mart is not good for American its killing our economy by telling all of our manufactures that if they don't go to china then wal-mart will run the out of business. If you don't belive me check out the frontline story asking the same question. Be American buy American |

What does it matter if Wal-mart is "good" for America. Wal-mart is good for Wal-mart and its shareholders. If you disagree with Wal-marts business practices, don't shop their. If you disagree with their employment practices, don't work their. In a free market capitalist society consumers decide which companies succeed and which fail. |

Ultimately, no..But it's monopoly in American culture is the culmination of many factors, not just the business saavy of Sam Wall or the politics of big business....To make a long story short, its the result of American's apathy to get involved..Now all we can do is sit back and watch all the "Mom @ Pop" businesses die or be gobbled up... |
