There are scoundrels everywhere willing to take your money in return for nothing. However, most ebayers are good people. I have been a buyer and seller on ebay since 1997 and I have not had one problem
.except for a shipment to Canada that was delayed (read lost) in Customs for a couple of weeks. This was neither my fault or the buyer’s fault.

Here is what I would advise:

Check the seller’s feedback rating and the number of transactions he has made since joining ebay. A 99%+ feedback rating is good for a seller with over 200 transactions. And the best of the bunch will have a 100% feedback rating.

Don’t bid on an EXPENSIVE item from a seller who has zero feedback ./ no prior sales.

Since every seller starts with zero feedback, if it is an inexpensive item and you want it, bid on it. The zero feedback sellers who are corrupt will generally list more expensive items only for obvious reasons.

‘DIP YOUR TOES”: If you are still unsure, bid first on inexpensive items rather than expensive items. After you win a few auctions and ebay and its sellers have gained your trust, then start bidding on more expensive items.

I have bought many things over the years and have not had a problem at all. Delivery was fine, things as advertized. I did watch the rating on the seller.

Plenty of times...bought and sold. I have rarely had any problems. Just make sure you check the person's feedback and beware if there are recurring problems before you bid. Overall I have had nothing but great experiences. Have fun!

It is risky. You just have to do research before you buy. make sure you check the sellers ratings and see what people say about the seller. I've even had people with good feedback not send products. It's a risk you will have to take. Do your homework.

I sell more then I buy...I always check feedback and shipping times. I also look carefully at shipping prices some really charge an arm and a leg.

Make sure you pay with a credit card thru paypal for the most protection in case you don't receive the item.

Have a fund and try not to become addicted..
