Really it doesn't matter.
You can break it down like this....
independent seller with no store
independent seller with store
powerseller with no store
powerseller with store
Power sellers usually handle TONS of auctions, so it is very possible that their customer service might not be as good as someone who only has a few auctions running. They might have preset shipping costs instead of charging depending on the item, which could mean more for you. Then again, their combined shipping could make up the difference if you buy more than one thing from them.
An independent usually only has a few auctions running at the same time, which means better communication. Shipping is more than likely going to be determined per item as opposed as to a standard fee.
Both kinds of sellers can have stores. Having a store just means that they can put something up for sale, or auction, for an unlimited amount of time.
A seller can have the same item in both the store and in an active auction. I have gotten some really good deals off the auctions as opposed to buying from the store.
What you really need to do is some comparison shopping. Just check for lowest price+shipping when you search for something. Then, when you think you have found a good deal, CHECK FEEDBACK. This can make all the difference for you. No matter how good the deal is, if they are a bad seller you want to stay away!
I never let store vs person get in the way of a good buy! Just do your homework and ebay will meet your needs almost always! |

person on ebay? it's way cheaper and you could check the person's profile and see if their reliable.
Each person has a rating and feedback |

It really depends on the item you are looking. I would opt for the store if the item is something that can be found in a store. I have had really good experiences with Ebay, however one time I won the bid for a pair of Kenneth Cole shoes and received only on shoe. Of course this was only one bad transaction out of many and the seller was willing to rectify the situation. She failed to seal the box securely and one of the shoes fell out. Good luck. |

Obviously, a store. But make sure its liable. Check their feedback, whomever it is! If its less than 90%, don't buy it! |

its better to buy something at a store because then you get it right away and there is no tricks! |

It depends ebay can sometimes be a crapshoot. if your gunna buy ebay make sure the buyer has good ratings and looks legit. Ebay is good because you can get items cheap but make sure you look at shipping costs before buying anything. Stores are good bc you already know what your getting you just gotta pay the cost |

Ebay has great deals but you don't know how reliable the person you are buying from is, so i say store...but if you are looking for something rare i would risk it if i really needed it |
