I find that around Thursday afternoon is a good time. The week is winding down and your prospective employer has a good chance to be in a good mood since they can ook to the coming weekend. The bulk of the week is behind them and its in good spirits. This also gives them a day to review it before the weekend, to avoid them forgetting about it come Monday.
This would also depend a bit on the type of work. The beginning of the week is better if it is any sort of manual labor work, as you catch your prospective employeer fresh from a restful weekend. You don't want to stroll in Friday after they have been breaking their backs all week!

Middle of the week, Mondays are about just pretending to work so no one will look at it and Tuesday everyone is making up for what they didn't do on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday are moderate workdays, but there is some time to read a resume, Friday everyone just wants to go home. Tried and True. trust me on this one, also the best days to ask for a raise are on wednesday and thursday. |

Tough...end of the week and it may get forgotten altogether, beginning of the week and it may get pushed aside...(then forgotten)...I'd recommend Wednesday or Thursday |

I would say the middle, because usually they are busy in meetings on mondays, and catching up in the beginning of the week, and at the end of the week everyone is looking forward to the weekend. |

Not at the start. On Mondays they will be catching up and still sort of in weekend mode along with starting the week. Thursdays and especially Fridays, they are getting into weekend mode and also rushing to get work done. I'd go on a Tues. or Wed. Also time of day matters. Don't go extremely early, let them get a chance to get coffee'd up and start their day, but not during lunch time. i'd go around 10:00am, this way they are awake, alert, not tired from long day or just having eaten lunch. I'd say in the middle of the week is best. Monday everyone is trying to get back in their groove, and Friday your paperwork might get lost in the shuffle and forgotten about over the weekend. |
