I wouldn't go by age but by education. If the young person comes from a school with a well-known business background, go with that person. It might not hurt to add a few experienced employees to help the younger employees cope with pressure.
When you first meet the person interviewing for the job, look to see if they appear confident to take on the responsibilities of the job. If they appear nervous, then that is how they may be under pressure of a big job.

well young people do have some advantages like they are fresh out of college. but experienced people have more advantages like experience,they know what they are doing,they can do excellent under stress and pressure but you could hire both and you could have the experienced train the youth. |

my answer is my experience, don't look the resume, look the attitude, look goals, don't matter how older is, if can learn you can use it. So much better if you have some one with good attitude and not experience because you can teach you way. Wolves are some times lambs and lambs are some times fox, be careful |
