That depends on your demeanor. Sometimes customers can be very unruly, other times they will praise you! |

NO. Trust me I am one. It is kind of like being a human punching bag. People scream at you all day for things that are not your fault, and the majority of the time you can not help them even if you want to because of "company policy" |

If you can let people who are upset and angry over what they perceive to be a problem (even when it's not) talk and let it roll off of you and not take it personally - you'll do fine.
If you like helping people solve problems (and the company you work for will allow you to) it can be rewarding.
If you're looking for a way to get your foot in the door to a company, it's probably worth it.
If you can't stand to be criticised - you won't like it.
If you're looking for a lot of money - you won't find it. |

it depends..u need the right attitude..i was previously a csr and when i joined fresh i was really scared to talk to these customers..they used to talk bullshit and i used to listen patiently until my senior adviced me to stop that..i learnt that customers dont have right to yell at us..after all they are dependent on us for helping them right..so after that whenever i got a profanity using customer i used to disconnect the phone..other than that its fun..as long as ur confident and have the right attitude;keep rocking..... |

Only if you are a very calm, patient, and understanding person. You have to deal with a lot of whackos and unreasonable complaints. It can be a high stress job. |

I was one for a couple different places and I thought it was fun. It was an easier job sometimes but every once in a while we would get a nut or too. And they sometimes can be very hard to handle. I once had a man pull a gun on me cause I wouldn't give him money back for an item that was an electronic and had no receipt cause it is against policy, plus it had been used and the it was probably stolen. If you like to talk and solve problems it can be fun but prepare for the worst! Good Luck! |

If you're very patient, don't anger easily, and like to deal with people. |

If you like people and you don't get rattled easily then you may enjoy being a CSR. I fill in occasionally at my job helping out in the Call Center. Sometimes it is rewarding helping people solve their problems. Sometimes it's not so rewarding if the person on the other end is a total jerk. It really depends on your mind set as to whether it is easy or not. Workwise, in my opinion, it's easy. But you have to put up with a lot of negativity which I don't like having around me on a constant basis.
Good luck! |

No job is easy if you haven't the right temperament for it. Being in customer service requires someone who can listen and empathise with peoples needs and then offer realistic solutions. If your good at all those things then it can be a joy, if not a nightmare |

Depending on the field and the company, being a customer service representative can be very taxing. The pay usually isn't great and the people you're dealing with are fed up with other people in the company or products, and they are usually angry. Even if you do talk to them for a while, they may demand to speak with your manager because you didn't give them exactly what they wanted when they wanted it. But it's also rewarding at times, as well. There will be times when you do help someone and they are appreciative, and they will let you know. You just have to be prepared for the good days and the bad days, just like any other job. |

It is never easy dealing with the general public! People are so rude these days. |

that depends on a lot of factors. But if you don't like dealing with rude, obnoxious people who will take any opportunity to insult or yell at you, then you probably don't want to be a customer service rep. |
