It depends on the opportunity. Often the manager is too busy to stop and talk about an application. That can be irritating. Ask the receptionist or clerk if you could talk but if they say know, leave it. I also would work on your spelling.

if they say she/he is not there, then ask when he/she will be back. and return if you can.
if you are not going to be able to see the manager make sure to try to leave an impression on the person you do talk to. but i would try to talk to the manager if possible.

Sometimes if you come off as too pushy they may not like that. Get a phone number when you drop off your app. then wait about three days and call back. That is a better solution. Also submit a resume. That usually wins them over! GOOD LUCK!

its always a good idea to see the mgr. when you have you applications filled up expecially with a wait staff jobs because of the fast turnover of employee sometime they will just tell you to be train right away and to start working asap.

Yes if you can you should touch base with the Manager if possible.
Also if you have to leave the app, call the next day and ask to touch base with the manager.
