I think it will be great. Will bring in more jobs. And my cousin is married to a man from India. So from first hand knowledge, I know it is very hard to find things we take for granted here, in India. (Such as phones! My cousin's Mother-In-Law stocks up on phones when she is here, as it is hard to purchase one over there. So she takes them home for her friends and neighbors!)
I don't think it's bad. I think it's good. I hope it helps their economy and way of life. |

Wal-mart is nothing more than materialism run amuck.
It promotes living beyond your means and treats its employees worse than private companies and awards top management for doing bad things to good people.
Wal-mart needs some real world competition and to be told NO.
Prices are not always the cheapest anymore at Wal-mart either.
Quailty of food and merchandise is lower in many cases. Their meats here in the USA , I call Mirror Meat, its shines back at you.
They create road hazards, people are killed without appropiate planning for stop lights etc ...,
Management creates an intense competition amongst employees and threaten job losses if Unions come in.. Managers bragg they get huge bonuses to the hourly staff just to get by in.
People would buy what they need and not what they want, it would be a far better world today. Wal-mart the great temptator!!
I pray for the day the worlds oil production finally peaks out! that will be the beginning of the end for wal-mart. |

Yes. We need them to get some of our trade deficit back from China. Some how some way. We need to sell overseas and bring back some of the money. Seems military weapons sales keeps us afloat much better. |
