Yes it is legal. Regardless of whether a Union is involved or not the importance of certain branches, offices, departments, etc., to remain open is determined by many factors. Most importantly a company is in business to make money, "bottom line".
Competition, money flow, the season, and there are many other reasons to stay open. Keep in mind, if your branch is open it is important enough to the business to do so. |

Don't even get me started, my husband's company is based out of Germany, OK? Lol, the buggers get three months off every year, all holidays, and get paid the same.... So yea. It's legal, and it sucks, but what can you do. (Move to Germany? lol.) |
