You have every right to look for another job. Just make sure that looking say on the internet or making phone calls and interviews and whatnot doesn't interfere with your current job. If your boss finds out that you are looking for another job on company time he/she might take that in a negative way.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to better yourself. Sometimes, if you give your boss the idea you are looking for another job, he might consider giving you a raise to entice you to stay. Keep at it and good luck!

Gungnir
Tons of people do it all the time. Better not to let your current boss find out, but if he does, be honest and say you'ld like a change, and that you're trying to improve yourself.

It is your right to look for a better job, I wouldn't worry about it. No one has the right to stop you bettering yourself. My old boss once found out I was keeping an eye out for a new job and he confronted me about it. I told him that if I was better paid and had better conditions then perhaps i wouldn't be looking elsewhere. He gave me a raise the week after that. I didn't stay though, he was a complete moron.

With a computer at home and internet connection, you can start earning from home, without any investment. You should choose your work at home job according to your skills and time available.
The simplest work at home job is answering phone calls for companies like WorkathomeAgent, Alpine Access, Liveops. You will need a quiet enviroment at home without any disturbance. To apply you will have to complete an online application form on the companies website . A list of companies with websites is available at

yes, it's fine to look for another one. I don't know why your boss would find out, but if he does you don't have to tell him anything if you don't want.

Always aim higher if it is higher you want to go. Just be discrete, and try not to schedule interviews during working hours, use your lunch if you can.

it doesn't hurt to look, and if your boss asks, just tell him you are expanding your horizons are trying to find something better. make it clear to him that you are only looking and not wanting to quit any time soon.

It's not a bad thing to better yourself, just don't do it at work. You should be looking for another job on your own time, unless you have the freedom to play around on the net while at your current position.

Good luck in you search for a better you.

Peter T
Always make sure you have secured a new job before leaving the old one. Instead of looking, try being head hunted. That way you will know that you have bargaining chips on the table to negotiate for a better package.

Lex
If your boss finds out just tell him/her that you're looking to improve your skill base for better advancement in your field and it's not because you're unhappy with your current position. You should always look for a better job and one that will provide you with more experience.

pazz
Listen you should always be looking for something better. Anything to benefit yourself go for it. God knows you probably deserve it. If he finds outthen explain to him. Career progression is the key to life. Who wants to be stuck in the same place all the time. If you are looking for another job then youre not content where you are Go for it.

The best time to look for a new job is when you have one.

You are under no pressure and your interviews will go smoother.

Don't let your boss find out, be smart about it and don't abuse your Dr. appointments or whatever excuse you use.

If you know you will be doing a lot of interviews, use a root canal or other multi-visit excuse so you can stay consistant.

Put a wad of cotton in you r cheek when you get in the office
