Is it possible to return food items to Wal-Mart?
I bought a jar of Pace sauce from Wal-mart but got the wrong kind. I didn't have my receipt but figured I could just exchange it, the b*tch at the counter told me that she couldn't do anything and I have to keep it. Has anyone else had problems with returning food itmes to Wal-Mart? Who can I contact about this sh*t?
Yes, you can exchange it. She is probably a new employee. I would go back there and either speak with another Customer service rep or go and talk to the manager about this. This is not acceptable.

you can return all food items as long as the seal is on it. If you have any problems, Contact the supervisor at the customer service. They should be able to help you more. Sorry about any inconvenience.

I'd contact the dentist about your language and a good counsellor about your attitude. I am reasonably sure WM would return your money if you had the receipt - which is their policy AND you did not have a seal/unsealed product. The only way they can test what you have is to open it which then makes it unsaleable. They had no choice by law or company policy. You have every choice on an attitude over a $2 purchase that has now ruined how many hours?

I tried to return some bad milk once and was told Wal Mart doesn't take returns on perishable items. So, I was stuck with it.
I HATE Wal Mart anyway and try not to shop there if I can avoid it.

Go on another day and hope for a different person. Since it's food and can be contaminated, remember the tylenol thing yrs. ago, they may have a policy on food. Can't blame them. Sorry.
