I am not a political person but feel inclined to answer this question anyhow. It certainly is time for a woman President and I think the perfect First Female President would be Hillary Clinton so she could personally pick her own aides.
Seriously, we are not in the dark ages any longer and there are certainly many, many qualified women who run corporations, universities and similar conglomerates. If actors can become Senators and Presidents then there is no reason why a woman could not become a President. What job is more difficult than raising kids, running a home and all that is involved? Most women have more structure and knowledge just from being wives and mothers while wearing numerous other hats.
The First Female President does not need to be a politician; a background in many areas would fulfill that "obligation" in more ways than the usual.
So I say it certainly is time to have Midol in the White House. |

There are no acceptable female candidates at this time. That is the real issue with regard to a female president. The closest was Condi Rice and she recently showed just how unsuitable she was in her address with regard to Israel and the middle east. |

We have somebody that is not a seasoned politician but a corporate execu (so called). Gender does not matter. But i would like to see a well seasoned politician well versed in international politics and affairs that has the ability to diffuse situations rather than worsen them by claiming to be on crusades. |

It is absolutely NOT time for a woman president. We're currently at war with Iraq, which as you may know, are not exactly feminists. Electing a female president, or Jewish for that matter, would further complicate relations and in the eyes of many middle eastern muslims add insult to injury.
I say this as a woman myself. |
