Some people, yes. All people, no. If you truly enjoy what you are doing and it gives a sense of accomplishment then that is what you are working for. If your job is not something you want to spend the rest of your life doing then you only work to get that paycheck. A lot of times it's just to get through school or because you just don't know what you want to do with your life. But it really depends on the person.
