No, they seem to hire who they want. I applied for a job at the Starbucks near me; during the holiday season last year. I handed-in my application wearing a bottoned down shirt and a nice pair of cargo pants. I was clean, well dressed and ready to do the job...and the damn manager had the nerve to turn me down for a lousy interview.
Plus the people that work in the one near me; are always so nasty and dirty looking. |

i honestly don't think its an attractive person thing. i honestly believe its just the type of person they hire. starbucks people are generally fairly artsey, some cultured, laid back and very open. also easy to talk to. i've never come across a grumpy starbucks employee, or someone who doesnt look like they are an interesting person. |

Not exactly... but they do hire people with confidence. And they hire people that are happy and eager to please.
Those people might tend to be on the attractive side.
But here's an example that happened in my state that would justify your story.
I live in Washington state and a woman got fired from a coffee stand for being overweight. She filed a lawsuit and lost because they decided that the owner was allowed to hire people who "looked a certain way" in order to please the customers.
I'm sure starbucks goes off of the same theory since there are about a million of them in Washington. |

hahaha no, although some stores would lead you to believe that. A lot of the hiring process has to do with skills relevent to the position, personality and the ability to multi-task |

Not true at all. Most of the people in our starbucks either have tons of piercings or are like the nerdy type. lol which can be very attractive, but I am sure you mean in the stereotypical way. |
