Im not sure about the give away part. Sometimes stores do offer free items with purchase on black friday. I remember one store had a free lotion scent set if you purchased something else before 9 am. Generally though the stores just deal with selling a few items at really great prices and since they may only have a limited amount it goes to the first few customers.
