If you are the trendy type...But you want to get that job for the best chance, try a semi formal, a little conservative, or a dignified looking, not very casual look for women, Since you mentioned high heels. Assuming you more a feminine look but respectable and an intelligent looking type. It will be more reliable for employers or management personels to choose. Specially in places like hotels where images of staff members are carefully chosen..
I suggest not to put too much or heavy make up too..
I was a former HRM student. |

For an interview, wear black slacks instead. First time they meet you, you want them to see you as a professional. |

No jeans ever for an interview. Wear either pants or a skirt. |
|

Andrea

No. Especially not for a job where you will be dealing with the public and probably dressing up. |

no black slacks would be better and a blouse |

No! Never, ever wear jeans to an interview no matter what the job! |

It depends on the job. But if there's any doubt, don't do it. |

No.
You should dress like you see the hostesses dress. Wear professional clothing. A dark conservative business suit is best. |

No. You're better off overdressing for an interview. Try some slacks with it instead, maybe something really sharp looking like pin stripes |

I wouldn't hire anyone who went to an interview dressed in jeans, unless maybe I was hiring for the janitorial staff. |

jeans are definitely not a good first impression to give any potential employees
try visiting the hotel prior to the interview, have a look at their uniform code and try to wear something very similar to what the hostess there wears |
|

tkquestion

Absolutely not.
It may actually look nice, but it will send a message that you are a type of person who do not know what it is to look proper. Stay traditional and proper. Looking "great" is second priority. Looking professional and proper is your first. |

best to get nice dress pants
chances are if its a nice hotel they arent gonna let you where jeans to work so its prolly not ok to the job interview. its best to be overdressed than under. |

No jeans! You are going to be the first person the guest sees entering the hotel, you must dress nicely to get this job. You don't get a second chance to make a good first impression. |

no, never wear jeans |

No, I would wear something dressy-casual like they might wear for the particular position. I don't think heals are really necessary. Heck, I'd probably be so nervous I'd trip! LOL |

Jeans are NEVER ok for an interview... or for picking up the application or returning it.
I think it sucks to dress up as much as the next person... but when it comes to getting a job, I know my stuff. and why take the chance. If they are interviewing 2 people for 1 position and the aother candidate answers the same exact way...only she dress up, and follows up with a thank you letter... who do you think is going to get the job. The one who proved she wanted it. It's simple logic...don't give a future employer ANY reason to pick someone else. At least not for a reason that you could help. |

I think that sounds fine but some interviewers are awfully picky. Personally, I'd wear a skirt or at least some khaki pants just in case. |

i wouldnt chance it...try to find some khakis |

It doesn't matter if you're interviewing for a job that may allow jeans - NEVER wear jeans! You haven't received a job offer, you're just interviewing. First impressions are what counts |

yes i think this is fine.. just dress it up a litlle.
as long as they are nice jeans |
|

the answer?

yes its not a super formal job environment like wall st so yes its totally acceptable
good luck on getting the job =) |

I would say that yes, jeans sound fine, if thats all you have to wear, that is. Of course it would look more professional if you were to wear some slacks with a nice blouse. But the jeans sound like they will do.
Good luck on your interview. |
