Is my formal boss taking advantage of me?
He told me he was going to write me a reference. I asked a couple times for one and its been over 5 months since i left the company and he is being a d k and not responding! I tried calling and cant get through and I was always such a hard worker!!!!!!!!!!! I worked extremely hard at the library for 4 years and never called off and was a great worker and he is not writing me a letter of recommendation and its not write. I sent him an e-mail and waited 4 weeks and no response and sent him another e-mail and he isnt getting back to me so should I take action?!!
There is no action you can take. Writing a reference for you would be considered a favor. Just because he was your boss does not mean that he is required to write a reference for you.
always b natural
Maybe he has a hard time recommending you. From the mistakes you have written into your question, you may need remedial English to improve your communication skills. (Sorry, but you need to read this).
Basic mistakes with leaving out an apostrophe, and confusing right with write are unforgivable.
Your old boss is fobbing you off, and is not going to do anything to help you. I would give it up, before he charges you with stalking, and find someone else to give you a reference.

What action are you going to take he obviously doesn't want to be bothered with it. He doesn't have to do it not a requirment of life or anything. And why would you wait months for this recomendation from a former boss, just go out and get a job on your own merits.

There really isn't much you can do about it other than ask him to write the recommendation. He is not obligated to do it at all. When somebody writes a letter of recommendation they do it because the want to and because they have the time. Generally jerks, aren't going to want to take the time to do something nice for you.
I think you should look elsewhere for a letter of recomendation.
sorry.

There is no action you can take. This is up to him. This must not be at top of his priority list.
If you have already begun to complain to him then it is too late. You have sealed your fate.
But if you have remained patient then you may still have a chance. You could perhaps write one for him to save him some time and ask him to review it and sign it if he is comfortable with it. Offer to make edits. Make it so he has to do virtually nothing.
Email is not working. Some people receive hundreds of emails each day so it is easy to get lost. Try his assistant if he has one or try calling.
