I'm not a Walmart fan, but every once in a while I would go because it was cheaper and sometimes I didn't have the money. But lately, I moved to Edmonton (in Canada) and they have more Zellers here. I haven't been to Zellers for a while, but I noticed many things I needed I found cheaper. Of course the store wasn't as nice, but the things I needed were the same at either store. Before, all other stores were much more expensive than Wal-mart, but now I notice that many things in Zellers, Superstore, even Save-on-Foods is cheaper. Am I seeing things or do you guys notice Walmart not as cheap as some places.

Well it's not really so much I'm trying to find which store is cheaper. I'm just asking if people notice if Walmart isn't as cheap, especially when their marketing strategy and reputation is to be the cheapest place to shop. |

No you are not seeing things! Walmart is not cheaper! I look around and go wherever I can find the items I need cheaper. I definitely comparision shop and I am like you I am not a Walmart fan but I do have to go sometimes to get some items there. Unfortunately they do have the "market" rapped up pretty good but... it is only a matter of time and they will create their own undoing! Someone else will come along and give them a BIG run for their money!!! Til then!!!! Shop wherever you can find the items you need cheaper!!! It is your money and you work hard for it so stretch it the best you can!!! |

In the southeast USA Fred's is cheaper than Wal-Mart.
Fred's just does not have as big of a selection of merchandise.
Fred's has much more helpful and friendly employees. |

Don't know because I refuse to shop at Walmart....they say all their stuff is from America, but after a special I saw on Dateline, I know know it isn't. I don't support a company that lies. I figure whatever I can get at Walmart, I can get somewhere else. |
