Yes! because effectively the banks have lost all depositors money and the country is bust.We never worked our way out of the last recession but relied on the housing market which was helped by purchases from abroad and easy credit to jog things along and now the bubble has burst it,s time for the day of reckoning.This recession is bad, very bad.I am affected because i am a saver having worked all my life only to see pensions worthless and interest in the banks negligible ,although my life is nearly over and i can live with that but i feel sorry for the youngsters who were encouraged to enter the housing market when they really couldn't afford to Many of whom will struggle to get their lives back onto a normal level for many years |

Not for the majority of the population.
I you have money invested you are getting less for it or if you have lost your job than you have less money coming in.....however..If you have the same household income as before the recession, since mortgages and other debts are costing less and the general cost of living has fallen...most people are actually better off. They just listen to the money lords crying on TV and believe we are all worse off |

The recession is even worse then the media say. They dumb down the details so individuals can understand. Governments around the world are borrowing cash and using printed money to try to restore confidence in the markets but its not working. The only reason people are failing to feel the impact of it is because we are in the mid stages of the recession yet. When more countries go into recession officially then businesses will start closing rapidly and as long as the government keep printing the price of goods will go up significantly more then it has now. Some countries will probably be effected by deflation as well.
Obama's energy plan will really be a confidence boost to the entire worlds economy. Its basically the perfect plan, at the perfect time and it will return perfect results. He has already set out measures to return the US hence the world economy back to its prime. |

Its not all bad, altho news paper sales are down 35% from last year, so i guess for them to boost sales, bad news sells more papers, its a known fact, never believe every thing you see in the news. |

It is much worse than the media tell us.
Nobody has a bottomless pit of money but everything is going up. The basics of living are costing us most of what we have available as individuals.
We ain't seen nothing yet. It will get much much worse in the coming months. |
