I ordered a 1 yr subscription for $9.95 and they just automatically took $39.00 out of my checking account without any prior notice to me. They have no address or phone number listed on their web site, so I emailed them asking for my money back. They sent me an automated message stating that it was in the fine print, which I'm sure it wasn't, that I agreed to this. When I asked them for proof of my agreement, they couldn't provide it. There is probably nothing I can do, but I thought I would ask. |

According to that holiest of holiest law we have in USA, police can't do a single thing than just visiting the person that took the money, if the amount of money is less than "$50.00 US Dollars". Nice, huh?
You have these options:
-Contact a lawyer and counter suit them for much, much more than you lost, and the lawyer will explain to you why.
-Contact The Better Business Bureau and make a formal complaint and ask them also how you could go about getting your money back because they have much information about it.
-As well said before me, your bank can get the money back into your account. Then themselves will go after that so called business, and they cannot tell you anything about it, just let them and get your money. All banks are secured, insured for purposes like yours for example. So, in a way, you have theft insurance through your bank. |

This is the bad thing about order or joining anything on line w/ a checking account or credit card...
they seem to do what they want tooo.. I joined.. and had the same problem.. You have to stop the subscription before hand.. and it gets complicated.. and that is the idea.. so they can charge you again..
Go to the help icon.. and write them.. and tell them you want to stop ur subscription forever.. demand they do not take any more money out of ur account..

Banks offer similar fraud protection as credit cards do. So like other people have said, contact your bank tomorrow and let them know you did not authorize a $39.00 transaction from them and that you only agreed to a $9.95 per year fee. The back should be able to get a refund for you. |

I'd suggest contacting your bank. See if they can help you with this. I made the mistake of signing up for what they said was "free". Everytime they send me an email, I can only see who's contacted me or read a message if I pay... The whole deal irked me so I didn't go any further with it. |

You have to talk to your bank. They should be able to do something.
I get their ad's too and I am a non-paying member myself. Classmates.com does inform you that the fee of $9.95 is only an intro fee and after the introductory period, the remainder of the complete yearly fee will be charged. |
