Is there any way I can contact Bill Gates or someone close to him about some ideas that I have?

Write him at the Microsoft corporate offices, but understand that his lawyers will probably screen it so they don't get sued.

Just email MicroSoft. I'm sure Bill has nothing better to do than look at emails from total strangers.

fist of all you need represention, great representation! like an agent or something!

optimistica1
probably not. That would be a bad move too, because if your ideas aren't protected by a patent then Bill Gates corporation could very easily use your ideas as their own and you'll get nothing.
Patents are expensive and a pain in the but to get. Sometimes it can take thousands of dollars and many tries before you're approved. It's worth it though if you think you're really onto something.
Then you can talk to investors (I'd start a little smaller than bill gates) and developers with out having your idea stolen. If you don't feel like doing all of that, you could even sell your patent, but most people regret if done too soon.
Also, your 'ideas' could already be patented and if you tell someone else about them who then goes and develops them as your idea, the person who owns that patent could sue you for everything you have and more.

Companies do NOT discuss "ideas" that have not been patented with non-employees who are not in some contractual relation with them. They are afraid of being sued for stealing these "ideas" if they ever introduce a product that incorporates them, even if their own employees have been working on them independently.

So, forget about it. It's a waste of time.
