you can view their websites the CEO will more than likely be the top shareholder unless the company is owned by someone other than the CEO and they will have the most shares. You can look at their financial records etc....

You can find this out if you have an online stock trading account, like ETRADE or AMERITRADE.

All you have to do is go to Yahoo Finance, enter the company's ticker symbol, and click on Major Holders.
I tried it for my company, and the names I saw make sense to me knowing what I know about the company.

these days there is tons of info online
usually the Board of Directors own most of the stock, like millions of shares sometimes
also, you can see if they are buying or selling, ENRON employees would have ben wise to check that

I would think this would fall under personal information. I know that I would not want everyone to know what stock I had or how much of it. That is no one elses business but mine.
Why would you want to know anyways?
